Volunteer From Home - Make Cloth Face Masks

Thank you for your interest in serving the community! Cloth face masks donated to Catholic Charities are provided to clients in need of our services including the homeless population, refugees, seniors, and families in need. Volunteers are responsible for:

  • Securing fabric and sewing materials
  • Following a tutorial for a two-layer cotton face mask. We recommend the tutorial from the Center for Disease Control(CDC) found at: https://bit.ly/2CDPCuZ
  • Washing each face mask when finished and then placing each mask in an individual plastic Ziploc bag to preserve cleanliness
  • Dropping off face masks to Catholic Charities in the marked barrel in the Administration lobby at:1501 Las Vegas Blvd. N.Las Vegas, NV 89101
Interested volunteers are asked to:
  • Submit a CCSN Volunteer Application
  • Record service hours with the form found here: https://bit.ly/2VTeGEO
  • Have basic sewing skills

Since 1941, the mission of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada has been to serve those in need - the most vulnerable - regardless of race, religion or creed. This leading community resource offers help and hope with dignity as it strives to meet the diverse needs of men, women and children in Southern Nevada. Through the generosity of foundations, grants, organizations and individual donors, Catholic Charities operates 16 programs providing support to more than 4,200 people daily and encompassing four core areas: Family Services, Food Services, Immigration and Refugee Services and Homeless and Housing Services. Catholic Charities also operates the largest Meals on Wheels program and Emergency Shelter Services in Southern Nevada.
