Mission Statement

StressFreeTeens is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2019 by a high school student Rohan Tirumala. Our mission is to educate communities about the science behind Stress, Anxiety & Depression and provide advocacy so they can lead happier lives. Learn more about our mission, our vision, and how we go about making the changes we want to see. One of the main reasons I feel kids are stressed nowadays is due to a lot of unknowns and then what can they do to reduce stress. Understanding how our brain works when we are Stressed and experimenting with different ways to de-stress seems to be the way to navigate all this messiness. Since our founding in 2019, Stress-Free Teens has developed and grown in a positive direction. We’re very proud of the diversity of our members and volunteers, and their abilities to contribute their own unique experience and skills to our success.

Description

Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces especially in unprecedented times like these, our organization- "Stress Free Teens" is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our campaigns and programs.

Some of our goals are to provide various resources and opportunities across different demographics that can benefit Teens to focus on mental wellness. Especially in uncharted times like these, it has become increasingly important to address issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression, and offer support to individuals who may be facing these internal struggles.

Past few weeks, we have successfully completed our Science Olympiad camp. We had an amazing turnout with 30 participants, five teachers, and over $2000 raised towards COVID-19 relief! Due to popular demand, we will also be holding a second session in July.

We launched Music Mentor Program recently as we believe that Music is one of the few things in the world that has a powerful way to connect to people.

We are also working on our PODCAST series and Blogs and various other interesting summer camps.
