The impact of COVID-19 has been felt by all of us! Individuals grieving the loss of a loved one may be struggling even more due to the limitations on visitations and funeral services. In many cases, they’ve been robbed of that incredibly important sense of closure. Loved ones mourning the loss of a Hosparus Health patient were at risk for isolation and loneliness prior to the pandemic and are now even more cut off from the support of family, friends and loved ones. They need your help!
Hosparus Health Grief Support volunteers have always provided bereavement support to our families. The mission of the Grief Support Volunteer remains unchanged; however, in order to protect the safety of our families and volunteers we are now utilizing virtual platforms and telephone calls in lieu of in-person visits.
We will train you on a variety of topics including emotional care of the family, spiritual support, and grief and bereavement to ensure that you feel well equipped to serve. We will also show you how to effectively utilize our HIPAA compliant, telehealth application to conduct your virtual visit.
If you are interested in providing the families of Hosparus Health with much needed connection, compassion and caring, please contact me today!
