Are you handy and need more small projects to work on? You can help Habitat for Humanity Restore by testing and making minor repairs to donated items for sale in the Restore.
It's flexible - you can choose your time between 9 am and 3 pm Monday - Saturday.
Items sold through the Restore help the organization provide safe, affordable, decent housing for Polk County residents.

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, community and service organizations, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
