Bayshore Christian Ministries is seeking volunteers to help us raise funds for our mission that supports East Palo Alto youth.
There are opportunities to work remotely and/or in BCM’s building. For volunteers who feel comfortable with working in our building, please be assured that COVID-19 protocols are practiced, such as social distancing, face mask requirements and sanitization.
Below are needs we are seeking to fill:
Volunteer Grants Manager
Are you a good communicator?
Do you enjoy editing? Research? Project management?
Would you like to volunteer virtually when it’s convenient for you?
Are you willing to donate an hour or 2 of your time weekly over the next 6+ months?
Then please consider joining our volunteer grants team!
Additional opportunities to support include:
- providing outgoing phone support -- Someone willing to call donors to say thank you, take prayer requests, ask about their area of greatest interest in BCM, etc, take notes on the calls.
- volunteering for events - for "Field of Hope" celebration at BCM in late September + in-person banquet in April 2022 + possibly smaller events. Pre-event support could be done remotely; event support, done in person, will include:
- F&B, decorations
- AV/staging
- Content management &/or writing
- Video production
- Graphics
- Collateral management
- Invitations, attendee follow-up, etc.
- Day of help, eg: registration, nametags, decorating, greeting, etc.

The mission of Hope Horizon East Palo Alto is to equip east-of-Bayshore youth to grow spiritually, gain life skills and develop as leaders so that they have hope and a future.
Description
Hope Horizon serves youth in the East Palo Alto community, meeting practical and spiritual needs through leadership training, spiritual development and life skills application. HH programs continue to grow and effectively serve over 200 youth participants each year in small group settings with individualized attention. Our programs are open to any youth in East Palo Alto, regardless of disability, race, religion or ethnic origin.
