**Volunteers must live in the Chicagoland area and be familiar with the DuPage County, IL job market. **
Meet weekly with clients who are seeking employment, helping them improve their job search. Virtual and in-person opportunities available.
What would make you a good fit for this opportunity?
- You are familiar with the DuPage County job market
- You are available to volunteer 3-4 hours each week
- You have access to a phone, a computer, and the internet at home
- You are familiar with components of a successful job search
- You will enjoy meeting with clients and sharing constructive feedback
- You have compassion towards those in crisis
- You are comfortable working with people from many cultures & backgrounds
- You can commit to volunteer weekly for a minimum of 6 months

Description
Since 1975, People’s Resource Center has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. With a team of over 1,500 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for people facing tough times. And we connect people with resources--education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community--to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.
Volunteer at PRC: Help in the food pantry or clothes closet, become a tutor, teach a class, organize a food drive, make a difference to a neighbor in need.
