URGENT NEED!

UCS has a very urgent volunteer need and we would appreciate your help and prayers. To keep it brief, our Men's Night Shelter Coordinator and longtime employee needs your support. Due to ongoing chemotherapy treatments, he is finding it difficult to stand & walk for long periods of time. He is a very dedicated employee, passionate about UCS's mission, and wants to work, but in order to do so, he requires some temporary support in the evenings (M-F, 6 pm - 10 pm) to serve the needs of our guests. Volunteers can join us one night or as many as they want...the choice is yours.

Some duties of this opportunity are:

  • checking in guests and assigning beds
  • ensure a safe and secure environment
  • keep program spaces clean and organized
  • assist and support guests

Are you ready to get involved, meet new people, make a difference, and give back to our community?
Call or email Shari Gesser at (812) 402-1074 or volunteer@unitedcaringservices.org.
