Help SHADOW staff with restoration activities, weed management, and trail maintenance around the Nature Preserve.
We are looking for Restoration Assistants to spend two hours a week or twice a month helping out with noxious weed removal, weed surveys , vegetation trimming, planting trees, and plant identification. All training will be provided, no prior experience required.

SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve is dedicated to protecting wetland habitat in South King County through education, preservation, and restoration. To date, SHADOW has placed nearly 100 acres of wetland habitat under permanent protection, providing critical wildlife habitat and passage in a landscape rapidly losing its functioning wetlands and green spaces. The true gem of SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve is our very own SHADOW Lake Bog and half-mile boardwalk trail leading into the heart of it!
