Kent County Community Action collaborates with several partners throughout Kent County to distribute United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) food to eligible households on a quarterly basis. Our one-day distribution will include providing eligible households with a box of food from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
We are looking for about 10 volunteers per shift. Volunteer opportunities include helping pack boxes for food distribution on 01/07/2020. Please see below for time frames available, and other requirements including volunteer registration. Once registration is complete, we will send you an email asking what shift you can work. When you confirm your shift, we will send another email with parking and check in instructions.
We will supply masks and gloves. Teenagers 14+ are welcome to volunteer if an adult guardian goes with them. Please do not volunteer if you have been exposed to/ have COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms such as runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever and/ or difficulty breathing.
We are asking for volunteers to come from either 10:00 AM to 4 PM or to pick shifts. There are multiple shifts 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, and/ or 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Additionally, we assist with areas of self-sufficiency, medical insurance enrollment, tax preparation and information and referral services.
