Are you a polyglot? Or even bilingual? Reiman Gardens is looking for volunteers to translate interpretive text, event instructions, and various volunteer documents from English into multiple languages. Opportunities to translate audio files and educational videos coming later this fall. Translated text, audio tours, and online videos can reach a much wider audience and will allow for a more personal connection for our visitors.

Volunteer transcribers should be fluent (written and verbal) in at least one language (Arabic, German, Hindi, Mandarin or Cantonese, Serbo-Croatian, or Vietnamese) other than English.

Volunteers should be good listeners and have great attention to detail.

Volunteers need to have access to an internet connection, a mobile writing app to create, share and edit documents (ie. Word, Google Docs, Evernote, etc.), and a computer/mobile device with audio capabilities, if translating audio files or videos (headphones are helpful, but not necessary). A comfortable chair is good, too.
