Recently, Unity for Equality has been focusing on our Covid-19 relief fund. This fund is used to provide healthcare workers and affected communities with protective masks and care packages. It has gone a long way so far in helping recover communities from the effects of coronavirus. As volunteers you will be reaching out to businesses, individuals, and restaurants seeking a partnership that will help increase donations to our fund. This will be done by asking businesses/restaurants to either integrate donations into their credit/debit card machines that would ask customers to donate after every transaction or by asking them to have a contribution box that customers can place money into. You can also reach out to individual whether it be friends, family, or anyone. You will be the one who scouts out potential partners and donors (can be anywhere in the world) and communicates with them effectively to in the end help benefit our fund and corona victims. The communication and outreach skills you develop from this can be useful in any career and will most definitely benefit you.

Unity for Equality is a non-profit organization based in our great city, New York City. Founded in 2016, our mission is to work with individuals of all origins to help build economically stable and sustainable communities by helping those at or below the poverty line, students, the elderly, minorities, immigrants, and other members of the community who are compromised due to financial, age, health, lack of employment, or lack of education issues by providing services that enable such individuals to improve their quality of life by either and/or (i) assisting high school age students enroll in public school; (ii) helping students complete their college applications; (iii) granting college scholarships to worthy applicants; (iv) providing job placement services; (v) providing financial counseling to families or individuals in a financial crisis; (vi) providing attorney referral services; (vii) providing assistance to legal immigrants to integrate into the community; (viii) providing assistance to seniors to navigate the health insurance market; and (ix) providing any and all other lawful services, assistance and guidance to families and individuals who are struggling.
