Join us at The Actors Theatre Workshop, an award-winning theatre and community center with a 30-year history of creative educational programming, including its Builders of the New World (BNW) Program for NYC homeless youth. The BNW program as well as all of ATW’s creative classes and community programs are led by ATW’s Artistic Director, Thurman E. Scott, an award-winning actor, writer and director and master teacher of creative process. Mr. Scott was deemed by his creative mentor and renowned American drama teacher, Stella Adler, as the inheritor of her legacy and that of the father of modern acting, Konstantin Stanislavski.
We seek experienced public relations professionals to increase ATW’s public image by communicating our programs, accomplishments, and educational philosophy that all humans are creative beings and with a safe space to develop their genius and creative talent can be liberated.
Projects include writing press releases, outreach to press, media or other public outlets, distributing the writing of our prolific Artistic Director Thurman E. Scott and videos of our organization out in the world and for trying to get our Artistic Director speaking engagements, as well as working with the creative team on branding opportunities and marketing plans.
We are looking for experienced candidates in public relations or similar fields who have energy, spirit, and a desire to make an impact in the community, and possess skills in the area of public relations.
