Our organization is providing PPE to cancer patients in order to protect themselves due to their weakened immune system during this pandemic. These patients require masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, bandanna protective head covering, and goggles for use during and while travelling to their treatments. Aquaphor, Biotene, and Cetaphil are also needed for the comfort of these patients. Grocery, Instacart, Amazon, Uber and pharmacy gift cards are also needed for those with income impacted by COVID19. We are also in need of fresh direct bags for our food deliveries. If any of these items can be made available, it would make the world of difference. Any donation of these products are greatly needed and appreciated.
Solicitation for donations is also welcome. We can provide our organization Letter and necessary forms to any interested parties. Please spread the word on this campaign to corporate offices, food chains, pharmacy chains, local businesses, and friends and family. Rocking The Road for a Cure, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) grassroots organization Our mission is to restore the strength, confidence, and physical and emotional well-being of patients coping with the challenges of breast cancer. We proudly offer free in-home health and wellness services, provided by licensed professionals, to patients undergoing breast cancer treatment in Queens and Long Island, New York.
Description
Rocking the Road for a Cure provides free in-home wellness and support services to women and men going through the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. We offer many different services to help to alleviate stress and give the client the strength needed to get through this challenging time in their lives. Some of the services we offer are Nurse/Case Management, Counseling, Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Nutritional Consultations, Beauty Care (wigs, bras, prosthesis), Lymphedema sleeves, Massage, housekeeping, transportation, food cards, pharmacy gift cards, essential PPE packages, Post Operative bags, food delivery from pantries, and so much more. We understand that everyone will have a different experience going through the treatment of breast cancer and we make our services specific to the clients' needs. Our goal is to assist as many breast cancer clients as possible and provide them with the educational tools to help them with coping during and after their treatment to help maintain their quality of life. We have been servicing thousands of people since 2008. We receive referrals from NYU/Winthrop, Adelphi Cancer Center, Nassue Community Hospital, Full Circle Physical Therapy, OSIA, Northwell Health and many more.
