STREETS Virtual-learning Hub will provide a safe physical space, for up to 80 students (40 at each of our locations), to complete their virtual-education until Shelby County Schools resumes in-person learning. Currently, we are looking for classroom monitors to support our students in-person throughout the school day. Volunteers might be asked to pass out breakfast/lunch to students or help them connect to their online school classroom. Students will be engaged in online-learning the majority of the day, but might have 10-12 minutes between courses to stretch or use the restroom. Volunteers will also be asked to help monitor these times as well. Volunteers can choose one (or more) shifts, Monday-Thursday. We ask that a volunteer commit to serving at least till fall break in the shift he/she signs up for. Shifts at each location include: Graham Heights (1304 N. Graham St.)

Mission Statement
STREETS Ministries, through the love of Jesus Christ, engages, encourages and equips youth to achieve their potential by realizing their God-given purpose.
Description
STREETS is an urban ministry that serves nearly 400 under-resourced youth every day in the Downtown and in the Graham Heights Communities. The organization exists to engage, encourage, and equip underserved youth by supporting the whole child, including a student's physical, mental, and emotional health. This is primarily achieved through after-school programming, which provides students safety, recreation, tutoring, biblical teachings, and a range of extra-curricular activities. While faith is an optional program component, children of all backgrounds are welcome and participate in STREETS programs. While STREETS is a faith-based organization, all faith-centered activities are optional, and students of all faiths are welcome. Our facilities and staff make STREETS a safe-haven, a place to hang out, meet a friend, and be welcomed with the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.
