About the Team: The World is Fun is curating a team of amazing people that want to tell the stories of our 175+ Nonprofit Partners through video. While we most certainly welcome those with existing skills, we are also in a unique opportunity to provide training for anyone interested in trying some of the entry-level video production roles. So if you’re excited about gaining skills, we would love to hear from you!
What You'll Do: The production assistant, sometimes called the PA, is a little bit of everything. They are there to help where there might be gaps. Typically in the film world, someone starts as a PA for experience and then works up into different departments. They may be helping with light stands, grabbing coffee, moving a sandbag, dashing off to buy more batteries, picking up lunch, retrieving a lens, etc.
Understands:
- Being a team player
- Reliable for small tasks
- Excited to help with all tasks
Time Commitment: This role is a very flexible 8-10 hours a month with one monthly meeting to attend. Our ideal candidate for this role would be seeking an ongoing role for at least two projects or more.
