If you are a compassionate and social person and want to give back to your community during this time of social isolation-then this opportunity is for YOU! At Sanctuary Hospice our volunteers provide companionship, support and encouragement to patients and families when it's needed most. From contacting patients by phone, sharing life stories, making handmade cards, baking cakes for birthdays, playing music, sewing memory bears and knitting lap blankets our volunteers use their skills and talents to provide comfort. NOW more than ever, we need your help to come up with ways to VIRTUALLY connect and support our patients.
The next VIRTUAL volunteer orientation is scheduled for Thursday on-line RSVP for the initial GoToMeeting LINK/Sign on info. Committed individuals 18 years or older interested in learning how they can help hospice patients and their families through remote/virtual and in person volunteering a few hours weekly or every other week are welcome. Volunteering for hospice is flexible, to fit an individual’s schedule and interests.
