Make a friend during a ride and provide a senior with a ride to a much-needed medical appointment. Northern Essex Elder Transport (NEET) is a non-profit, all- volunteer transportation program for seniors 60+ who need curb to curb transportation for medical appointments, essential shopping and social interaction. We need volunteers to drive elders to their appointment. Time commitment is flexible. Average trip is 2 hours and less than 30 miles. Drivers are needed for local trips as well as assistance with appointments in Peabody, Danvers, Burlington and Boston. You sign up for rides that are convenient for you and fit into your schedule!
Drivers use their own automobiles and are given a generous mileage reimbursement and supplemental insurance.
