Are you a caring and compassionate person with a few hours to give to a senior in your community? Do you want to learn about the history of your local community from seniors who grew up in your area?
Northern Essex Elder Transport (NEET) is a volunteer transportation program for the elderly who need curb to curb transportation for medical appointments. We need volunteers to drive seniors to their appointments. Time commitment is very flexible. Average trip is 2 hours and less than 30 miles. Drivers are needed for local trips as well as assistance with appointments in Peabody, Danvers, Burlington and Boston, however you drive when and where you want!
Drivers use their own automobiles and are given a generous mileage reimbursement and supplemental insurance.

A non-profit, volunteer transportation organization that recruits volunteer drivers and administers mileage reimbursements and all other administrative tasks for 13 Councils on Aging: Amesbury, Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimac, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury.
