Do you have a passion for helping people? The American Red Cross is on the ground, working around the clock to provide food, comfort and other emergency support to those affected by major disasters all over the country, but the most common disasters to which we respond happen right here in our own community - floods and fires.
Every day there are 2-4 home fires in Indiana. Volunteers are needed locally to provide comfort and meet disaster caused needs. We can provide all of the training needed and you can sign up for shifts that meet your schedule, with a minimum shift requirement of two 12-hour on-call periods per month. All that you need is a heart to help others, reliable transportation, and good communication skills.
