Join our Exhibits team at the History Colorado Center to provide direct support for our Makerspace area. The volunteer will encourage, facilitate, and organize activities for visitors within the makerspace. Activities in the space include a variety of arts and crafts that change based on recent History Colorado exhibits.

We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, have organizational and communication skills, have either formal or informal experience working with school aged children ages 5 to 16, and have a desire to learn about education in a museum setting. At its heart, History Colorado fosters cultural understanding, preserves and protects the physical, cultural, and emotional places that are important to our communities, and encourages appreciation of what makes Colorado Colorado. The Makerspace Volunteers will help with making that work possible. Desired Schedule: 2 shifts/month (10 AM - 1 PM or 1 PM - 4 PM)

Mission of History Colorado:

The volunteers of History Colorado are an important and dedicated group crucial to our operations. Volunteers play an important role in helping to tell Colorado’s story and help achieve our mission: History Colorado creates a better future for Colorado by inspiring wonder in our past.
