Wish of a Lifetime is seeking eager volunteers to serve senior communities who are experiencing isolation. Wish of a Lifetime is a Denver-based non-profit that fulfills life-enriching Wishes for deserving older adults. Our mission is to shift the way society views and values our oldest generations by fulfilling seniors’ dreams and sharing their stories to inspire those of all ages.
Current circumstances prevent us from granting wishes in our usual capacity, but we continue to prioritize initiatives that promote wellness for senior communities. We have developed a volunteer program with the goal of contributing to the collective wellness of senior communities. Committed volunteers are an integral part of this strategy to build meaningful relationships. Our volunteers support senior communities in several unique ways:
- Pen Pal program: volunteers are matched with a senior to exchange letters or postcards
- Companionship Call program: volunteers are matched with a senior to exchange phone calls
- Zoom calls and other virtual opportunities: We are able to customize volunteer opportunities for groups looking to engage with communities
At the start of their engagement, volunteers receive instructions and recommendations for writing letters and making phone calls. All of our opportunities can be completed remotely. If you are interested in providing the priceless gift of companionship during this difficult time, we would love to connect with you!

About Wish of a Lifetime
1821 Blake St., Ste. 200, Denver, CO 80202, US
Wish of a Lifetime's Mission is to foster respect and appreciation for seniors by granting life-enriching wishes.
Wish of a Lifetime fosters respect and appreciation for deserving seniors by fulfilling their life-enriching Wishes. Founded by two-time Olympic skier, World Cup gold medalist, entrepreneur, and former NFL football player Jeremy Bloom in 2008 in living honor of his grandmother, Wish of a Lifetime encourages the public to take an active role in granting Wishes through its Wish Connect program.
Wish of a Lifetime envisions a world in which society embraces the inherent wisdom that accompanies aging; where seniors are celebrated for their accomplishments and sacrifices; and where intergenerational connections are part of our daily life.
Since 2008, Wish of a Lifetime has made more than 850 wishes come true for seniors in 50 states and the District of Columbia. 93 percent of wish recipients stated they felt their quality of life improved after having their wish granted and 76 percent said they felt their overall health improved after experiencing a Wish.
