We are looking for a QA/Functional Tester who will work with our UI/UX and Development teams to ensure our audiences are getting an optimal experience!
You might be a good fit for this role if you:
- have experience with testing and are familiar with tools to test most common browsers (Safari, Chrome, IE, Edge) and operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows);
- are interested in conducting cross-browser testing for newly implemented features or before new versions launch;
- have the ability to lead and take initiative with the testing process;
- have good verbal and written communication skills and can report findings to UX and Dev teams;
- are meticulous and detail-oriented;
- are interested in human rights and/or digital rights and would like to be a part of this team and its goals!

Description
Project Lockdown (an initiative from The IO Foundation) is a civic tech, interactive platform providing an overview of the state of Human and Digital Rights around the globe. It evaluates policies obtained from high quality sources that may impact their observance. It provides, among other tools, a layered map interface that allows for a visual representation of the policies adopted, assisting a broad range of stakeholders in understanding the global state of their Rights empowering them to become active agents of global change.
The project is the result of the collaborative effort from a global network of partners and volunteers who are dedicating their time and resources to ensure that we do not degrade the Rights we currently enjoy while simultaneously preparing them to become a new generation of Rights defenders. It aims at providing an overview of the state Rights around the world to citizens and assisting journalists and civil society in their reporting and overseeing tasks.
