We just found out that Rockwell needs a new foster as of today. We normally require 72 hour notice from our fosters but she's in a situation where she's not able to provide that. Are you able to foster him if not long term, at least for a few nights to give us time to find someone long term for him?
Rockwell resource guards "his human" so he needs to be in a home with a single person. He's gone after roommates/significant others when they've approached his foster when he was near (he thinks he's being a protector). Besides this, he's mellow, goofy and enjoys his walks. He has some hip issues so we're looking for someone that has no more than 1 flight of stairs.
Please call us at 310-652-6895 if you can help Rockwell, please forward this email to anyone you think may be able to help if you can't.
This is an emergency, he's too sensitive to go into a cage in boarding.
Thank you for reading this far, we hope you can help!
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs.
Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs, enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
