The American Red Cross is looking to bring on new sheltering volunteers who would in interested in the opportunity to support those affected by disaster across the country. Can you help? Would you, or someone you know be...

  • Willing and able to work in person at a shelter?
  • Willing and able to take online trainings to meet the qualifications and prepare for the possible event of deployment (being sent to a disaster assistance location somewhere in the US)?
  • Able to go on a deployment for a span of two (2) weeks if needed?
If yes to all of these questions we would love to have you join our team! SHELTER HELP NEEDED There is a special need for volunteers to support sheltering efforts during disaster relief operations across the country. To help keep people safe, we have put in place additional precautions and developed special training for our workforce. HEALTH SERVICES SUPPORT NEEDED Volunteers are needed in shelters to help assess people’s health. Daily observation and health screening for COVID-19-like illness among shelter residents may also be required.
