About The Role: We are looking for a creative writer to produce engaging content for our website. The main goal of this role is to raise awareness of our organization and cause. Our ideal candidate is a skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail and interest for women’s rights issues.

Responsibilities:

• Create content for our website that result in effective and compelling communication
• Edit and proofread website content as needed
• Write blog posts
• Write organizational histories
• Developing and maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice
• Awareness and advocate of - history and current events

Skills/Requirements:

• A high level of English language skills
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
• A deep connection to the African-American and African community
• Research Skills
• Experience working with content management systems
• Experience with SEO
• Access to computer and stable internet required
• Deliverable/outcome-focused
• High Level of autonomy, self-motivated/self-starter
• Interested and aligned with Stella’s Girls' mission
