A unique person is sought who is skilled in a variety of facility repairs who can help on an as-needed basis during business hours and sometimes on the weekend. Bring your knowledge and expertise of handy work to create a peaceful environment for staff, volunteers, and those experiencing domestic violence. Tasks might include: hanging items caulking sinks lifting items to be transported to different C4DP facilities minor painting cleaning assignments

Mission Statement
What We Do: Center for Domestic Peace mobilizes individuals and communities to transform our world so domestic violence no longer exists, creating greater safety, justice and equality. Who We Are: Center for Domestic Peace provides intervention services that enhance the immediate and long-term safety of victims of domestic violence and engages diverse communities in domestic violence prevention. To that end, we offer a comprehensive range of support services including emergency shelter, short- and long-term transitional housing, advocacy, legal referrals, and programs that offer individuals concrete ways to end their violence. Our Volunteers provide domestic violence counseling on our hotlines; facilitate support groups; help with our speaker's bureau or help with our events and fundraisers. Some volunteer opportunities, such as being a hotline advocate or support group facilitator, require a training course and certification. Other opportunities, such as fundraising and events, do not.
