ORGANIZATION: Hospitality House

The mission of Hospitality House is to bring homeless people in Nevada County into a circle of community caring that offers shelter, sustenance, medical care, advocacy, opportunity, dignity, and hope as we assist them in transitioning from homelessness to housing. Our Volunteer Department Assistants work at the epicenter of our agency helping to recruit, train, and onboard our growing volunteer base. They devote their service time to supporting the volunteer department. Volunteer Department Assistants perform administrative functions including but not limited to: Calling/emailing current and potential volunteers Answering Phones Data entry Document review Assisting with Onboarding and Training Volunteers Program Orientation and Training: Volunteer Department volunteers will receive on-the-job training on their first day and throughout their service term. They report to the Volunteer Manager. Location: 466 Brunswick Road, Grass Valley, CA 95945 Days/Hours: 1-2 days per week. 3-4 hours per day. Experience: No previous experience necessary although the ability to work in a professional office environment is required. Special Requirements: Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, email, and data entry are required. We ask that our volunteer department assistants work cooperatively with other volunteers, members of the homeless community, agency staff, and other community members.
