Help feed, clean, and care for the orphaned baby songbirds and other animals at Napa's only licensed Wildlife Rehabilitation clinic. Orientations are available almost every month. Trainings for this opportunity are available beginning in March 2022. Once trained, Songbird Clinic Volunteers help for at least one 4 hour shift weekly, April-September. Year round shifts are available as well, but the clinic is open reduced hours. We do a lot of cleaning up after animals, but get to work with baby birds that people typically aren't able to see when they are babies. Please be aware that we are working with wild animals, not pets, and every effort is made to keep them feeling comfortable and wild so they can return home.

Our age requirement is 12 WITH parent continuously supervising (Absolutely no drop-offs of children for volunteering) for cleaning, laundry, enrichment prep, and diet prep ONLY. There is NO animal handling for anyone under 16 years old. 16 year olds can handle non native wildlife. Must be 18 and older to handle native birds under federal law. We work both inside and outside at the clinic, so dress for the weather and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty or bleached. Hope to see you supporting Napa's wildlife with us!
