WHAT: Lead quarterly team-building and impact celebrations for Food Cycle Volunteer Drivers. ABOUT FOODCYCLE LA: FoodCycle LA connects excess food to people in need. FoodCycle is building an infrastructure to reduce waste and intelligently route surplus food; whether it's to people, plates, or composting. Through their efforts, they're changing individual behaviors and, ultimately, the culture around food waste. THE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY YOU'D LEAD: At "Become a Food Delivery Driver with FoodCycleLA," volunteer drivers rescue food waste and redistribute it to the people and food pantries that need it most. As their volunteer leader, you'll walk new drivers through the process of getting started and then lead quarterly check-in's with all drivers to build community and share successes. AS THE PROJECT LEADER, YOU'D BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Recruiting and following up with new volunteers Holding quarterly community-building, success-sharing group check-ins for volunteer drivers Managing all communication between volunteers, FoodCycle, and L.A. Works TIME: Quarterly (every 3 months) online meeting times will be determined by your availability and the volunteers'. Online meetings should be 1-2 hours. LOCATION: Online PROJECT LEADER REQUIREMENTS: Attend an L.A.
