Do you love music? Has music brought you moments of introspeciton, joy, or reflection? Volunteer with our Music and Memory program today! Music and Memory is a program where patients listen to personalized music playlists, created with input from patients themselves as well as family and friends. These playlists are loaded onto iPods so patients can connect with the music they love, with the goal of improving their overall health and well-being. What are the anticipated benefits? Reduction in the reliance of anti-psychotic and anti-anxiety medications, reduced agitation and sun downing, enhanced engagement and socialization with family, friends, staff and peers, increased cooperation and attention resulting in reduction of resistance to care, opportunity to offer an enjoyable, and fulfilling a need for a very personal activity. Hospice is a special kind of care given to people nearing the end of their lives -- a philosophy focused on patient comfort, and dedicated to helping patients and families live each day to its fullest.

To serve our community by supporting patients near end-of-life and guiding loved ones through grief.
We are looking for volunteers to serve patients, in administrative duties, and at our thrift stores.
Serving patients is rewarding. Serving in administrative tasks is crucial. Serving at our thrift stores is fun.
Plus, we have four locations to choose from: Folsom, Cameron Park, Placerville, and the RAP Center in Placerville.
All volunteer opportunities support our mission of providing little to no-cost hospice and supportive care to patients near end-of-life. Come serve today and know what you do matters to those that need it most.
