Nevada County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement thrift store and donation center. The ReStore sells new and gently used building materials, furniture, appliances, home accessories, and more. Standard COVID-19 safety protocols are in place. Masks required. Please call if questions. 530-274-3761. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore proceeds and donations go to building affordable housing in Nevada County. We are looking for volunteers who can work somewhat regular, but flexible, hours - one or two days per week, usually in 4-hour shifts. The ReStore is open from Tuesday to Saturday 9am-6pm. Our Regular and Consistent volunteers receive a significant discount, as a thank you for joining our staff and helping us make a difference in our community (some restrictions apply). Volunteers report to the Store Manager. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to be a part of Habitat for Humanity’s mission, to build affordable housing here in Nevada County. Our amazing volunteers make it possible for us to do what we do for Nevada County. For larger volunteer groups, let the ReStore help make it an event! Email us (see link below) and we’ll contact you about details. Volunteer Duties Have fun, give back to the community, and meet lots of interesting folks. Habitat for Humanity ReStore volunteers must be "people people" and have a desire to solve problems. Tasks include: Customer Service Organizing Donations Stocking & Organizing on the Sales Floor Electrical Gardening Special Projects; Craft or Construction Computer design savvy people EXPRESS INTEREST and we’ll get in touch!
