Works with the finance committee to identify LYG's annual fundraising needs.
Provides oversight of LYG’s development strategy and implementation of the Fundraising Plan.
Identifies and solicits funds from external sources of support, working with the Development Officer, when available.
Collects data regarding the needs of LYG constituents and reports on the impact of provided services to facilitate external communication for fundraising activities.
Works with the Development team to assess gaps in the event and campaign calendar, develops opportunities to fill those gaps, and recruits committees to execute appropriate events and campaigns.
Ensures the creation of marketing tools and utilizes those resources to generate general visibility for the organization and to increase Youth Outreach activities.
Works with the media designate to design and execute a robust media/social media annual plan.

We are a community of leaders, mentors, and volunteers who accept, affirm and uplift young people regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity. Our goal is to always grow, learn, and adapt as a way to encourage inclusivity and foster a wide reach of understanding for all.
Description
Louisville Youth Group (LYG) is the primary LGBTQIA+ nonprofit community serving LGBTQIA+ youth in Kentuckiana. We provide a safe space for gender and sexuality diverse young adults to grow their identities, learn leadership skills, and develop the tools needed to both thrive personally and to act as agents of change in their communities.
LYG accomplishes these goals through our primary weekly programming, targeted leadership development opportunities, community partnerships, retreats, and through outreach to local school systems, healthcare agencies, and other groups providing education and care to LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults.
