BEFORE IT WAS COOL

WE ARE READY FOR IN-PERSON VOLUNTEER VISITS. ARE YOU? VISIT ONE OF OUR LOW-RISK HOSPICE PATIENTS.

When COVID began, Grace Hospice was the first to pause volunteer visits. During the moratorium, our dedicated volunteers served our hospice patients with friendly phone calls and behind-the-scenes support. With the health and safety of both our patients and volunteers at the forefront, Grace Hospice is ready to introduce in-person volunteer visits again...with a twist. Only low-risk patients can be seen, and social distancing will be practiced.

Grace Hospice will provide the training and all needed supplies? Are you ready? Our hospice patients can use the company.

Mission Statement

For each employee to treat every patient as their own treasured loved one, providing care that affords a quality of life that outweighs quantity of days, and supports caregivers as their hearts find healing.

Description

Hospice is the health care system that mandates the involvement of volunteers. This reflects the history of the hospice movement in the United States, which started as an all-volunteer system.

Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support in the final phase of a terminal illness. At Grace Hospice, we focus on enhancing the quality of life and our Volunteers play a key role in our mission. The hospice philosophy reaches beyond the physical needs of a patient and ensures that a patient spend their final days in comfort and with dignity.

Grace Hospice volunteers are as diverse as our professional staff. Compassion and caring are the hallmarks of any great hospice volunteer, and their involvement is a vital part of our team.
