ORGANIZATION: Herchoice Advocacy

Her Choice Advocacy is looking for a Treasurer to sit on our Board of Directors.

The perfect candidate would have the experience, be honest and trustworthy.

Normal duties would include:

  • oversee the association's operating account and reserve account,
  • keep and maintain the association's financial documents,
  • oversee the deposits,
  • oversee investments,
  • ensure that bills are paid,
  • oversee the preparation of the budget,
  • ensure that a report of financial transactions are made to the board,
  • ensure that a reserve study is prepared,
  • serve as the board's liaison with the association's auditor,
  • review and implement safeguards to protect the association's financial assets,
  • ensure that tax returns are filed on time, and
  • sign bank cards and co-sign checks with the president or secretary.

This position has duties that must be done in person, but some duties can also be completed virtually.

Description

Her Choice Advocacy’s purpose is to give intellectual, moral and social instruction to society on why all women who conceived through sexual assault and the children conceived should be protected by law, have social inclusion, and be free from re-victimization.

We seek to provide supportive services, resource assistance, advocacy, social inclusion, public awareness, and campaigning for policy provisions. Further, we wish to educate professionals, advocates, legislatures, and leaders on how to articulate proper comprehensive, culturally sensitive based services and support for women who conceived from sexual assault.
