Join us as we walk and clean up the Baldwin Loop two-mile walking path in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Pawtucket. We will pick up trash, clean up gardens, and make notes of where we might be able to plant trees in the future.
We have gloves and bags but feel free to bring your own as we do not know how many volunteers will show up. Masks must be worn and social distancing guidelines for COVID-19 will be followed.
We will gather at The Empowerment Factory at 12 pm in the Hope Artiste Village. Then get into teams and each team will take up a small section of the 2 mile path. All ages and abilities welcome. This is a perfect event for people that need community service hours.
Meet at The Empowerment Factory - Hope Artiste Village at 999 Main Street, Suite 707, Pawtucket, RI.

Mission Statement
Creating happier, healthier more empowered people.
Description
About Us:
The Empowerment Factory (TEF) is dedicated to giving children the skills they need to lead happier, healthier lives. We focus on three areas of development: creativity, self-esteem, and civic pride. The Creative Squad programs blend hands-on activities with social emotional learning (SEL) and environmental education. Our vision is for every child to develop the confidence and ability to express themselves, while becoming actively engaged in their communities. Every child should feel that they matter and can make a difference in the world around them.
The Empowerment Factory offers programs and special events for schools, after school, organizations, libraries and youth groups that help children develop the skills they need to succeed.
It was founded by Gail Ahlers, as a nonprofit organization in April of 2014 and became a federally recognized 501(c)3 as of August 2016. Our blended learning model has positively impacted over 3700 urban youth with the creation of 34 after-school clubs and 13 summer programs, 90 percent of whom live in under-served communities.
We welcome your involvement and support. You can give your resources, volunteer your time and advocate as we work together to build a better world.
