Wildlife Ecology Institute seeks candidates for our Secretary-Treasurer position. This is a part-time, virtual volunteer position. The number of hours will vary by month depending on our needs, but may range from 10-40 hours/month. The Secretary-Treasurer is responsible for communicating with the Board of Directors (BOD) on various topics; coordinating BOD meetings (typically via conference call or video) and recording meeting minutes; assisting with financial and business reporting requirements; preparing financial information and coordinating with our accounting services firm; reconciling budgets; assisting with the development of new program initiatives; and potentially other similar duties as assigned.

Mission Statement

Advance wildlife management and conservation through applied research and educational activities.

Description

Wildlife Ecology Institute is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with a mission to bridge the disconnect of wildlife research and wildlife management by identifying and utilizing the confluence of applied research, conservation, and education to meet the contemporary challenges of fish and wildlife management. Wildlife Ecology Institute was formed in 2015 specifically to accomplish this by implementing a teamwork approach with government agencies and other organizations. Our vision is to lead by example on a journey of building this novel and holistic approach to support fish and wildlife management in an increasingly complex and technical environment.
