Job Title: Package Handler

Purpose: Assist food pantry manager with preparing food boxes for distribution.

Location: 1141 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix, AZ 85034

Key Responsibilities

• Pack Food Boxes
• Lift and place food boxes in appropriate areas
• Assist manager with packing food boxes for distribution
• Ensure packages are packed correctly before transporting to event
• Able to communicate effectively
• Pre-load food boxes in van/with assistance from loader
• Assist distribution team during events

Job Requirements

• Carry tasks as required by food pantry manager.
• Prefer food package experience but not necessary
• Good written and communication skills
• Self-motivated and hardworking
• Leadership skills and organizational skills
• Participate in trainings and organizational orientations
• Be on time for requested volunteer opportunity
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting about 10 lbs.
• 18 or older

Reports to: Akilah Stewart

Days Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays

Hours 10:30AM-12:30PM

Time Commitment: 2-5 Hours

Qualifications: None

Dress Code: Casual clothes (regular T-shirt, jeans, pants, and closed toed shoes)
