Soldiers' Angels - Denver

Soldiers’ Angels, in partnership with the Food Bank of the Rockies, provides a monthly Mobile Food Distribution event to supplement and assist our low-income, at-risk, and homeless Veterans and their families. We typically provide 200 families with up to 75 lbs of food each, including meat and produce.

MFD's take place the December 11th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 pm.

As a Mobile Food Distribution Volunteer, you may be asked to do the following tasks:

  • Set-up and tear down
    • Set up tables
    • Set up canopies
    • Pack food bags
  • Break down trash/boxes
  • Direct traffic
  • Check Veterans in/out
  • Bending, lifting, carrying up to 50 lbs

As a Volunteer, please remember to wear the proper protective gear based on the weather - this is an OUTDOOR event.

  • If you have, please bring a Mask
  • Hat, sunglasses, gloves
  • Sunscreen/block
  • Bug repellent
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Rain gear (as necessary)
  • Loose, comfortable clothing (something to easily move in)
