No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Aesop (C.6th Century B.C.) Hospice Touch provides end of life comfort care to terminally ill patients and their families throughout Orange County and the Long Beach area; wherever the patient calls home. Hands on Care is provided by skilled professionals on our staff. Volunteers who are willing to give the gift of time, provide compassionate support; reading, holding a hand, singing a song, sitting quietly, listening, participating in life review, sitting with a patient while their caregiver takes a much needed break. Benefits: Free Training in the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of the terminal phase of life.

Description
Remita Health provides end of life care to persons who can no longer benefit from curative treatment. The typical hospice patient has a life expectancy of six months or less. Most receive care at home. Some reside in nursing homes or assisted living. Services are provided by a team of trained professionals-physicians, nurses,counselors,therapists, social workers, aides and volunteers- who provide medical care and support services not only to the patient, but to the patient's family and loved ones.
