American Red Cross - Greater New York Region

  • 7 people are interested

Due to an active hurricane season, the American Red Cross has a special need for volunteers who can work in emergency shelters to help assess people’s health and provide hands-on care in alignment with their professional unencumbered license (RN, LPN/LVN, APRN, NP, EMT, paramedic, PA).

We also need volunteers in ancillary roles (Certified Nurse Assistant, Home Health Aides, medical students, student nurses) who can provide care as delegated by a licensed nurse in shelters; this could include assisting with activities of daily living, personal assistance services, providing health education and helping to replace medications, durable medical equipment or consumable medical supplies.

Will you be ready to roll up your sleeves and help?
