Update: BayPath has recently increased its volunteer mileage reimbursement rate to 65.5 cents per mile for travel between our meal site and meal recipients' homes.
BayPath Meals on Wheels is currently seeking volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious lunches to older and disabled adults out of our Ashland meal site, which serves Ashland, Holliston, and Hopkinton.
We provide training, mileage reimbursement, and delivery equipment. Volunteers deliver using their own automobile. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday between 10:00 and 11:30. CDC recommendations about social distancing and contactless delivery have been integrated into our delivery practices.
Currently we are seeking a volunteer drivers for:
Ashland on Wednesdays and Fridays ongoing, and short-term on Mondays
Hopkinton on Wednesdays and Fridays
Delivery volunteers are required to have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance, review training materials (remotely), pass a background check and provide proof of insurance and clean driving record. Delivery volunteers may deliver as often as they like, but we ask for a minimum of once per week.
