BayPath Elder Services

  • 11 people are interested

BayPath Meals on Wheels is currently seeking volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious lunches to older and disabled adults at our Ashland meal site, which serves Ashland, Holliston, and Hopkinton.

We provide training, mileage reimbursement, and delivery equipment. Volunteers, using their own automobile, can choose a day(s) to deliver meals. Currently, due to COVID-19 meals are being delivered Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Delivery time is typically 10:00-12:00noon. CDC recommendations about social distancing have been integrated into our delivery practices. At this time, we are seeking a 3 month commitment from new volunteers.

Delivery volunteers are required to have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, review training materials (remotely), pass a background check and provide proof of insurance and clean driving record. Children and students can volunteer with an adult 21 years of age or older who serves as the driver. Delivery volunteers may deliver as often as they like, but we ask for a minimum of once per week.
