At Restore Education, our mission is to restore individuals’ potential for success on their path to college and career through the transformative power of education.
Restore Education volunteer tutors assist students with the following:
Preparing students for the GED and HiSet exams to achieve a high school equivalency certification. Subjects include Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Writing.
Developing student study habits, problem solving, critical thinking, and test taking skills
Maintaining focus and enthusiasm as they work to reach their academic goals.
Restore Education provides tutors with training and all teaching materials. To minimize potential exposure to our students, staff, and volunteers, all interactions are currently through Zoom. Minimum requirements: high speed internet, personal laptop with camera, and headphones with a microphone.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and with varied educational experiences. We have a wide range in participant ages and academic starting points. Here at Restore Education, we offer a continuum of services to empower and equip at-risk youth, who have dropped out of school, with the purpose and skills necessary for successful, positive impact in their own lives, the lives of their families, and their community.
Passport to College Program: Students have the opportunity to complete their GED and prepare for college simultaneously.
Compass Program: GED and HS graduates have access to continuing guidance and support as they complete an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
FastPass Program: High school students have access to preparation for college entrance exams.
