At Restore Education, our mission is to restore individuals’ potential for success on their path to college and career through the transformative power of education.
Restore Education ESL Conversational tutors assist students with the following:
- Incorporating their existing vocabulary and sentence structures in conversations with a native speaker
- Expanding vocabulary through situational scenarios encountered in daily living
- Developing the student's confidence with English skills
Restore Education offers various ESL programs. One option is for individuals interested in improving general English speaking abilities and conversational fluency. We also offer an ESL Workforce option to help students develop job specific vocabulary and English fluency in the workplace.
To minimize potential exposure to our students, staff, and volunteers, all interactions are currently through Zoom. Minimum requirements: high speed internet, personal laptop with camera, and headphones with a microphone.
We are seeking volunteers for the following weekly schedule openings:
Tuesday, Thursday 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm CST
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and with varied educational and work experiences. We have a wide range in participant ages and academic starting points. Our ESL conversational tutors engage our students in a supportive environment as our students work to improve their English speaking abilities regardless of their starting level. Committed volunteers are instrumental in changing lives and improving outcomes for Restore Education ESL students.
