The First and Third Wednesdays of the month 9:00am-11:00am

Help us clean up the Guadalupe River Park by picking up litter on the trails!!

We are hosting more community workdays at the Guadalupe River Park! Limited tickets available to keep us working safely in this time as well as abiding by County Public Health recommendations. We know you are anxious to help the Park, please join us as we practice safe measures of volunteerism.

In addition, please note that:

  • Volunteers must abide by rules mentioned in the pre-cleanup safety talk.
  • Please bring a full water bottle (the water fountain will be unavailable).
  • Restrooms will not be available for use.

Volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:00am for a contact-less sign-in (QR code), workday instructions will follow. Please arrive on time as the safety discussion will start promptly at 9:00am. We will be providing necessary tools for cleanup and disposable gloves. The workday will run through 11:00am.

Minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old. Chaperones are required age 10-15.

Parking at the Rotary PlayGarden parking lot at 490 Coleman Avenue and in front of the visitor center at 438 Coleman Avenue. We will meet at the bus loading zone between the visitor center and the PlayGarden.

Occasionally there is a location change as needs change within the park. There will be ample notice if this happens.

Air quality projected to be "unhealthy for sensitive groups" or rain cancels the event.

Description

The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship. Past efforts by the Conservancy contributed to collaboration among government agencies and community interest groups seeking to solve problems related to the Guadalupe River flood control project. The Conservancy is continually involved in completing the master plans for both the park and gardens, creating educational programs, promoting awareness of the Park & Gardens, and developing membership and volunteer opportunities to increase public support and involvement.
