The Meals on Wheels Foundation of Northern Illinois is looking for volunteers to deliver meals to home-bound seniors in WILL COUNTY. Meal pick-up locations are in Joliet, Monee, Lockport, Frankfort, Bolingbrook, New Lenox and Wilmington. Meal pick-ups are Monday thru Friday mornings and volunteers can choose to help 1 day or multiple days. A delivery route will take 90 minutes to 2 hours to complete and all volunteers are reimbursed for mileage at a rate of .625 cents per mile.

Our vision is to live in an environment where seniors and persons with disabilities are valued and are an active part of our community. We currently serve nearly 600,000 meals a year to over 7,500 seniors and persons with disabilities in Suburban Cook, Kendall & Grundy Counties.

Join us for lunch!
Fight against hunger by giving back to the older adults in your community! The Community Nutrition Network needs your help serving meals at our café sites as well as delivering meals to homebound adults. These opportunities can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are located at various sites throughout the northern Illinois area.
At The Community Nutrition Network, we strive to keep older adults and persons with disabilities an active part of their community by providing them with the support they need. Much more than a meal, our programs combat depression and isolation, offers companionship, and provides safety checks for homebound adults.
