Walden Behavioral Care is a psychiatric hospital that has just opened our new location in Dedham MA, and this opportunity has finally started again (albeit with COVID precautions)! We are a psychiatric hospital mainly focused on eating disorders. The program would have you see patients on our different units (inpatient and residential all in the same location) usually for about 20-30 minutes at a time.

This would be in person and our schedule is flexible. Currently, we have some individuals coming once a week every other week (set day and time). These times would be determined by your availability as well as our group time availabilities! We are looking to expand our program so that we have at least one pet therapist visiting per day 7 days per week.

Our patients adore when pets come to see them and really improves their mood throughout the recovery process, so much so that we are trying to expand the program!

Let me know any questions and if you are interested! All you need is a certified therapy pet! To begin, we would just need your pet's certificate and to set up a time.

Please contact bwoodfin@waldenbehavioralcare.com with questions, interest and availability.

Thank you!
