The Alzheimer's Association of Southeast Florida is looking for passionate, motivated, "do-ers" to join our volunteer committee for our signature fundraising event, The Longest Day. TLD is an opportunity for people to raise funds by turning their passion into a purpose. It's a DIY fundraiser that is centered around The Longest Day of the year, June 21st. Roles Available:
Recruitment Subcommittee
The Recruitment Subcommittee helps to recruit new participants and retain past participants for The Longest Day.

The subcommittee is responsible for:
-Executing the engagement plan to recruit and retain participants.
-Making personal contact with potential and past participants to encourage early registration.
-Planning and hosting the Participant Kickoff Party.
-The Recruitment Chair and Recruitment Subcommittee should be well-connected in their community or industry and persuasive in getting others to join the cause.

Engagement Subcommittee
The Engagement Subcommittee will be in charge of meeting, coaching and recognizing current participants in The Longest Day to help them reach fundraising benchmarks.

The subcommittee is responsible for:
-Executing the engagement plan to welcome, thank and touch base with participants.
-Offering assistance to participants who might need help reaching their fundraising or recruitment goals. -Leading efforts to recognize participants when they hit fundraising milestones, including the Celebration Party.
-The Engagement Chair and Engagement Subcommittee should be comfortable speaking with people, sharing advice and helping to motivate participants.

Marketing and Outreach Subcommittee
The Marketing and Outreach Subcommittee is tasked with raising awareness of The Longest Day and Alzheimer’s disease by engaging with community members.

The subcommittee is responsible for:
-Building public awareness of The Longest Day through local media outlets and social media.
-Delivering promotional materials to local businesses and community hubs.
-Finding creative grassroots marketing opportunities.
-The Marketing and Outreach Chair and Marketing and Outreach Subcommittee should have a strong knowledge of local media outlets, excellent oral and written communication and a creative approach to marketing.
