Description

BIES has helped over a thousand people in finding employment. We have conducted various researches on issues faced by Canadians such as health and settlement issues and worked towards providing solutions and services to aid people in Toronto regarding the problems they have faced. We have worked on several different projects to provide support services to seniors, immigrants and youth helping them integrate into their communities. One of our biggest programs is our BIES Youth Council which was started in 2016. Youth of all races, genders and backgrounds from all across Toronto have volunteered for the BIES Youth Council. The Youth Council has planned and organized several different events over the years including multiple fundraisers such as garage sales and bake sales, they have organized community movie nights, photography competitions, free tutoring services, community BBQ days and many other fun and engaging events. This year we plan to continue our Youth Council through virtual means. The Youth Council aims to create a safe online environment where all youth can come together to organize fun and engaging online events for other youth across Toronto.
