ORGANIZATION: LA WORKS RSVP

Quick Overview: Provide human resource and researching expertise at a nonprofit that serves unhoused people and their pets as it expands to more shelters in Los Angeles and more cities.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: PalsNPets is a young nonprofit that is quickly growing and is looking for a Human Resources Researcher to assist. We are in the process of opening our fourth shelter in Los Angeles and are looking to expand further both here and in other cities. We are also hiring our first employees and the goal of this project is to develop an actionable employee handbook with standard operating procedures that observe California rules and regulations policies. The HR Researcher will be working alongside a lawyer on the board to:

  • Research and compile list of California policies and rules & regulations
  • Develop an employee handbook with the organization’s systems, processes, and protocols
Volunteers can work remotely. The time commitment is flexible, ranging from 2-4 hours a week.
