The Connectedness Program supports those experiencing isolation and loneliness. The Connectedness Caller position offers volunteers the opportunity to reach out to and serve those most affected by the current pandemic. We provide training, a script, and ongoing support and education. These calls serve as a check-in and a friendly hello to those who can't get out and about. We are seeking individuals who are

  • Interested in people and the ability to converse with all kinds of people.
  • Have good listening skills.
  • Are detailed oriented - documentation of all calls and topics covered is required.
  • Have the ability to keep a conversation going, if needed

A minimum three - four hour per week commitment is desired for this virtual opportunity.

Benefits In Action is a team of talented and committed staff and volunteers who promise the consumer the best opportunity for access to benefits and assistance programs. We possess the passion and the experience to help consumers find the benefits and other assistance available in order to live a healthy independent life. We provide education to consumers as they enter the complex world of health care benefits. We provide help in navigating the vast array of benefits available using a number of tools and resources and finally, we assist with application completion and submission.
